We are constantly looking for ways to make the series better and more enjoyable for all. One thing that helps is when competitors bring their friends; don't forget that the amount of points awarded goes up with the number of competitors in a division. So bring a friend and pump up the points!
Also, remember that the series provides a unique opportunity to bring a friend to a Christian event that is fun and well run. It is our hope and prayer that those that don't know Christ will find true Christian community which can begin to melt down any preconceived ideas of an uptight and restrictive Christian life. Ultimately we pray everyone experiences the eternal Love of Christ.
This next season we will have the Championships back in Oceanside with the awards banquet back at Grace theatre as well. (yea!)
Below are changes we are making to try to streamline the check in process and provide divisions that more people will use:
1. We are adding a Master's Longboard Division (ages 35 and above) in lieu of the Junior Longboard Division so the dad's that don't ride a shortboard can have some fun with good competition.
2. We are canceling the Bodyboard division (Last season, the Bodyboard and Jr. Longboard divisions ran half the time due to a lack of contestant interest.)
3. We are eliminating the Membership fee; each contest will be $40 for the first division and the usual $20 for an additional division. If you plan to surf the whole season you will be able to sign up for the bulk entry fee of $280 (price includes the championships)...a $50 savings!
4. This season the Super Grom division will be $20 for their first division but the bulk price remains the deal of the century at only $100 (price includes the championships).
